One of Stockholm + CO.’s clients is CanTeen, a not-for-profit organisation for people aged between12-25 years, whose worlds have been turned upside down by cancer.
As part of a very cool initiative, Google and Hilltop Hoods have collaborated on a new interactive video for the song Through The Dark.
“My son Liam was diagnosed with cancer – Leukemia – four years ago,” Dan Smith, aka Pressure from the Aussie hip-hop group said. “His chemotherapy took place over a six-month period where he was confined to a room. Through the Dark came from my words to him to keep him positive, and keep him strong, and give him a bit of courage.”
Now the new interactive video will help give other young people courage and support: for every person who listens to Hilltop Hoods’ latest album on Google Play Music – using the link at the end of the new interactive music video – Google and Hilltop Hoods will donate $1 to CanTeen.
You can watch Through the Dark here on any desktop and hi-spec Android phones (they need to be newer models since the film is in-browser and uses a fair bit of RAM).
Gizmodo recently published an article on this amazing initiative and the very personal story about how it came about.
